The British Invasion and Colonialism
This project is the culmination of the research I conducted abroad in London, England during the Fall 2022 semester.
This project is the culmination of the research I conducted abroad in London, England during the Fall 2022 semester.
This research project focuses on the history of 60s pop music and culture in Britain and how it coincides with the history of British colonialism. This project discusses the longterm effects and impacts of colonialism and how they influenced the British Invasion of the 1960s and beyond. The Beatles, the main focus of this research, found inspiration from former British colony, India and their relationship set precedent the West's relationship with the East for the future. Research was done in collaboration with Professor Steven Gin in addition to using Tulane and the Univeristy of Westminster's resources and a trip to Liverpool, UK.

The Crescent Magazine is a student-run online magazine at Tulane University. It covers a variety of topics surrounding student life such as romance, studying abroad, and mental health as well as covering local restuarants, stores, events, and more. I was a writer for their "Sex and the Crescent City" section which focused on romance, sex, and sexual health. I wrote about stereotypes regarding romance/sex, policies affecting sexual health, dating during a pandemic, and more.

This is a children's book I wrote during my junior year of high school that I self-published.
This is a children's book I wrote during my junior year of high school that I self-published.
"A Place to Be Me" tells the story of a young girl who finds herself through sleepaway camp, much like I did. I was inspired to write this book when my sleepaway camp was impacted by the Woolsey Fires as I applied to become a counselor-in-training. I took my passion for camp and working with kids into consideration throughout my writing process. I published the book in 2019 and donated proceeds to various children's charities.
